The International Fisheries Congress & Expo 2024 (IFC 2024) is being jointly organized by Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS) and College of Fisheries Panangad Alumni Assosciation (COFPAA) on 12-14 January, 2024 in offline mode. The IFC 2024 is a great opportunity to learn about the latest advances in fisheries and aquaculture, network with experts from around the world, and share your own research and experiences. The Congress will feature plenary sessions, scientific sessions, symposia, workshops, and poster presentations on a wide range of topics related to fisheries and aquaculture. It brings together experts, researchers, fisheries industries and entrepreneurs, to exchange knowledge, explore innovative solutions, and ensure a prosperous future for aquaculture while protecting marine ecosystems.

Awards
Under each theme the oral and poster presentations will be evaluated by the chaipersons of sessions. First and second prize under each theme in oral as well as poster categories will be awarded and honoured. There will be a Best Scientist Award also for the highest scoring oral presentation.
Venue
The Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS) is an autonomous public funded institution established on 20th November 2010. KUFOS is the first Fisheries University in the country. The headquarters of KUFOS is at Panangad, 12 km away from Kochi city, along NH-47. The University now has a sprawling campus of 67.83 acres in the headquarters at Panangad, 50 acres at Fisheries research station, Puduveypu situated at the Vypeen Island and extensive 10 acres off campus at Thiruvallom near Vizhinjam

IFC expo 2024
The IFC 2024 will also feature an expo showcasing the latest products and services for the fisheries and aquaculture sector. The event is expected to attract over 1,000 delegates from around the world. Fisheries Research Institutions, Extension Agencies, Entrepreneurs, NGOs and State Government Department and Organizations will take part in the exhibition.
